OUR JOURNEY

HOW WE STARTED
In today’s fast-paced and often isolating world, finding a sense of connection and purpose can be challenging. This struggle became even more apparent during the pandemic in 2021, when lockdowns left many feeling lonely, unmotivated, and struggling with their physical and mental well-being. Recognising the widespread need for support and community, two friends decided it was time to make a change. From this shared vision, Morning Momentum was born.

It all started with a simple idea: getting up early, moving our bodies, and embracing the power of cold exposure. What began as a small group of friends from Ramsey, seeking positive change soon turned into something much bigger. We discovered that combining movement, cold water immersion, and meaningful connection had a profound impact—not just on our physical health, but on our mindset, confidence, and resilience.
Morning Momentum is completely free and always will be. However, to support our growing community, we now offer memberships designed to help people experience a healthier and improved lifestyle. Whether you're looking to improve your fitness, boost your mental well-being, or simply be part of something bigger, Morning Momentum is perfect for you.

As more people joined us, something incredible happened. Strangers became friends, mornings became something to look forward to, and lives began to change. What started as a handful of mates running and taking cold dips once a week, quickly grew into a thriving community one where every person, regardless of their background or fitness level, is welcome and supported.
Today, Morning Momentum has expanded across the Isle of Man with members coming together daily to run, embrace the cold, and share a coffee afterward. It’s more than just a routine; it’s a movement that helps people step out of their comfort zones, overcome challenges, and build a healthier, more connected lifestyle. Morning Momentum now proudly has two hundred active members across three groups. We currently have a Douglas group, a Ramsey group, and a Southern group which all hold sessions daily.
